Frequently Asked Questions

How does AI-generated dashboard creation work?

You describe what you want to monitor in plain English — for example "show me the health of my Kubernetes cluster with CPU, memory, and pod restart counts" — and TigerOps builds a complete dashboard including all queries, panel layout, colour thresholds, and alert annotations. You can then edit any part of it using the drag-and-drop builder.

Can I import my existing Grafana dashboards?

Yes. TigerOps accepts Grafana dashboard JSON exports directly. Most panel types including time series, stat, bar gauge, table, and heatmap are mapped automatically. Prometheus and Loki queries are preserved as-is so your team can migrate incrementally without rebuilding dashboards from scratch.

How do I share a dashboard with stakeholders outside my team?

You can generate a public read-only link for any dashboard that does not require a TigerOps login to view. You can also embed individual panels as iframes into internal wikis, status pages, or Confluence pages using the panel embed URL — useful for sharing a specific chart with a product or business team.

What data sources can I connect to dashboards?

Dashboards can query any TigerOps native data source — metrics, traces, and logs — as well as external sources including Prometheus, AWS CloudWatch, GCP Cloud Monitoring, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and ClickHouse. Multiple data sources can be mixed within a single dashboard panel.

How fast do dashboard panels update in real time?

Panels connected to streaming metrics update as fast as your metrics arrive — typically within 1 second end-to-end. Data is pushed via WebSocket so there is no polling delay. You can also configure slower refresh intervals for panels that query expensive historical aggregations to balance freshness and cost.
